Peter High
Peter founded Metis Strategy in 2001. His experience lies in corporate strategy, business-unit strategy, information technology strategy, portfolio management, innovation management, project management, product pricing, and related concepts.
Peter has worked in a wide range of industries. He has developed corporate and business unit strategy for dozens of Fortune 500 companies, and has also leveraged Metis Strategy’s proprietary business and IT strategy methodologies to that end. Additionally, Peter has in depth experience working with leading IT departments from multiple industries, and he has developed a methodology to help organizations assess their capabilities relative to world class organizations, providing recommendations on how they can achieve sustainable world class performance.
Prior to founding Metis Strategy, Peter worked in the strategy division of Luminant Worldwide, a full service consulting firm, as a member of the management team. He began his career in consulting with Integral, Inc., an innovation management firm founded by the former dean of Harvard Business School, Kim Clark. Prior to Integral, Peter worked as an internal consultant with General Motors and as a research analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank.
Peter has lectured at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and the University of Washington (Seattle) Business School. In 2008, Peter started a podcast entitled “The Forum on World Class IT,” which is available through iTunes. He is also an ongoing contributor to Information Week and CIO Digest Magazines.
Peter graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in economics and history. He also studied at the Wharton School of Business.
