Sean Lennon Named CIO Of Medtronic

Sean Lennon has been named Chief Information Officer of Medtronic, and he will join the company on April 29. Lennon will lead the development and execution of global strategies that will help Medtronic more fully leverage its scale and harness the power of information and technology to support global growth and operational efficiency.

Lennon brings more than 30 years of experience and a demonstrated capability to lead large IT organizations in a CIO role within healthcare. He was most recently CIO and Chief Digital Officer at global pharmaceutical company Allergan, where he successfully directed activities to enable scale, drive value, increase operating efficiencies, and develop and execute strategies across systems, tools, and resources. While there, he led the successful consolidation of numerous ERP systems into a single-instance SAP platform and helped establish the company’s cross-functional digital leadership council focused on driving opportunities to help differentiate Allergan in the marketplace.
